NASO and Fox 40 Renew Partnership

For Immediate Release

RANCINE, WI (January 11, 2007) — NASO and Fox 40 International recently agreed to a new three-year partnership. As part of the partnership, Fox 40 continues to be an NASO Education Partner and maintains its sponsorship of the NASO Gold Whistle Banquet.

"NASO has a very special relationship with Fox 40 International and its founder, Ron Foxcroft. There is no single organization nor company on the planet that has been more supportive of NASO in particular, and sports officiating in general, than Fox 40," said Barry Mano, NASO president. "The extension for three years of the partnership with Fox 40 is an essential ingredient in our ability to serve both our members and this industry."

As an NASO Education Partner, Fox 40's support along with others helps NASO generate educational materials for officials, conduct high-quality officiating Summits, provide useful recruitment and association leadership tools and support speaker bureau requests.

"We think that officials are the most down-to-earth, real human beings in the world. They are dedicated and love what they do. Officials are amazing people and it is our job to support those amazing people," said Foxcroft, founder and president of Fox 40 International and special advisor to the NASO board.

In addition to encouraging officials in what they do on the fields and courts, Fox 40 supports those who go above and beyond service in the industry through its generous financial sponsorship of the NASO Gold Whistle Award.

The first presentation of an award to an official for good works away from the games occurred in 1988. The first NASO Gold Whistle Award went to then-NFL officiating supervisor Art McNally. Fox 40 International was there from the beginning, and its co-sponsorship of the NASO Gold Whistle Award banquet will continue.

"We've sponsored the award since its inception," said Foxcroft. "Ever since the very first NASO Gold Whistle Award, the wonderful job NASO has done in presenting the award has left me numb and enthusiastic. It is very special for us to be involved in sponsoring the award.

"There is no other organization that has contributed more for officials than NASO. They have done more for the industry of officiating than any group in the world."
