March Madness Honour Bestowed upon Ron Foxcroft

HAMILTON, ONTARIO (March 9, 1998) — 1998 has proven to be a tremendous year for Ron Foxcroft, president of  Fox 40 International. With the presentation of Hamilton's Citizen of the Year still fresh from the hoop... ANNOUNCED this day Ron Foxcroft, the only Canadian to referee in the NCAA, has been chosen to officiate in the NCAA Men's Basketball Championship Tournament. This final tournament will showcase the best of College Basketball at its highest intensity of competitiveness. This is the 4th year that Ron, the inventor of the Fox 40 Whistle, has officiated in this prestigious event.

Ron's highlights include 34 years of officiating accomplishments:

  • CIAU Final 8 Tournaments – selected for the Final game consecutively for ten years.
  • NIT Tournament selections in New York's Madison Square Gardens
  • 1976 Olympic Gold Medal Game – and numerous International Games

Congratulations Ron, once again you've proven success through your love of officiating.
