Fox 40 Kicks Off World Cup 2002!
For Immediate Release
HAMILTON, ONTARIO (May 31, 2002) — As the 17th World Cup Tournament began in Seoul, South Korea, Fox 40 International had one of the best seats in the house. The opening match took place on May 31, 2002 and featured a favorite and a long shot. France and Senegal met to open the event representing the first of 63 games that will crown a World Champion on Sunday June 30, 2002.
Ali Bujsaim from the United Arab Emirates was assigned as the referee for the opening match. With the entire world watching in anticipation of the beginning of this world-renowned event, Bujsaim counted on Fox 40 International to provide him with a faultless performance. The Fox 40 Classic Whistle enabled Bujsaim to cut through the crowd noise and keep control of the game. A dream for every referee – to be asked to perform on the world’s largest stage, World Cup 2002.
Fox 40 International is proud to be a part of the many dreams that are being realized at this year’s World Cup and will continue their support of world class events with their world class products.
